My journey with cancer was long, painful, and exhausting. Yet, through it all, I was surrounded by love and support. The day I finally heard the words “cancer-free” was the day my boyfriend proposed. We couldn’t wait any longer—we decided to celebrate life, love, and new beginnings by getting married as soon as possible.
But what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life almost turned into a nightmare.
